Kind Words for Recall for a Meatball
βI'm a certified dog trainer myself but I still enrolled my own puppy in Lizzy's "Recall for a Meatball" online course.
Lizzy's class materials were fun, interesting and so beautiful and colorful (each a work of art). Her lessons and homework were clear and simple. It was easy to pass on the info to my husband. The remote sessions were full of laughter and support as we all shared our dogs' antics. The best part though: this stuff WORKS! And you could not have a more sympathetic, encouraging trainer on your side than Lizzy. She knows the science and animal learning theory behind what she teaches; but she packages the information in such a delightful way.
I routinely recommend Lizzy's course to the students in my puppy classes. Do yourself a favor and sign up for 5 weeks of joy and effective training simultaneously!β

Triumphant Teens
wednesday 9/18/24 at 7 p.m. EST
Adolescent dogs can be challenging! If you're struggling with your "teen" dog's behavior-- the bad decisions they make, the training they seem to have forgotten-- this course is for you! Triumphant Teens supports you and your dog with management, training, enrichment, and exercise strategies for living your best life together during this phase.
Week 1 is an overview of canine adolescence, what to look for, and how to build patience and compassion for ourselves and our dogs during this season.
In Week 2, we'll explore what motivates your dog and how to compete with the ever-distracting world your adolescent dog is discovering.
Week 3 explores using enrichment and training to burn excess mischief-inducing energy while meeting our dogs' needs!
In Week 4, we'll discuss the benefits of ongoing socialization during adolescent developmental changes, including play style, choosing appropriate play settings and playmates, and how to accept and understand behavioral changes in your "teen" dog.
In our final week of class, I'll help you think through real-life scenarios, including when to use management, training, or some combination. We'll also revisit how to prioritize training goals when you're feeling stressed by your teen dog.
Kind Words for Triumphant Teens
βHaving an adolescent dog can be a weird and maddening experience. As a first-time puppy owner, this was an exceptional resource to learn more, and commiserate, about this unique time in a dogβs life. The course materials are incredibly useful (and beautiful), and the weekly sessions provided a much-needed outlet for discussion and encouragement. Lizzy is a present and wonderful instructor, and sheβs developed an incredibly thoughtful course on how to navigate this period with grace, good humor, and patience.β
